High Degree of Substitution Sodium CMC for Building Coating

CMC stands for carboxymethyl cellulose. However, CMC is more correctly the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose.

>  CMC has the ability to impart viscosity to aqueous solutions. CMC is pseudo-plastic, thixotropic and essentially non-thixotropic rheology by nature

CMC is a very useful thickener in the paint industry because of its film forming ability.

>  CMC is used in the manufacture of plastic emulsion paints water soluble paints as well as in dry and oil bound distemper.

>  CMC has a good binding suspension and dispersion strength. It has long storage stability without any decomposition.

>  CMC in paints restricts the crystalline growth of fillers and extenders such as calcium sulphate. 

Our CMC / PAC can be customized: the degree of substitution can be achieved from 0.5 to 1.8; purity from 50.0% to 99.5%; 1% viscosity mPa.s from 10 to 100000
